Darryl

Meet Darryl. He served honorably when America needed him. Years later, he’s homeless on the streets of South Florida without money, identification, clothes or a phone.

Within hours of connecting with Operation Sacred Trust, Darryl is safe. In less than two weeks, Darryl is moved into permanent housing, receiving increased social security benefits to meet his needs, has reconnected with family, has clothes, food, a bed and other vital supplies, and is ready to begin a new chapter in his life.

In a typical month, Operation Sacred Trust provides critical services to 300-400 low-income homeless and at-risk Veterans like Darryl in south Florida’s Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

Purpose Built Families Foundation’s Operation Sacred Trust (OST) collaboration is a nationally accredited , public-private partnership for homelessness prevention and rapid rehousing. Fundamental to the approach of OST is attention to factors that create, contribute to, and address problems in living as reflected by challenges to housing stability for low-income Veteran families.

Our team strives to help every client achieve housing stability through an array of services and supports designed around the unique needs, circumstances and priorities of each individual Veteran family.

Your financial support will make a direct, immediate impact on Veterans like Darryl when they need us most by helping Operation Sacred Trust provide food, transportation, emergency supplies, and other vital necessities as we develop, resource and implement a plan for lasting housing stability to give them a chance to experience the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness they sacrificed to protect for us all.
